Angela Gregory was a long time resident of Manassas, a beloved friend and dedicated club member who gave of her time generously. While she was President of the Woman's Club of Manassas, she was instrumental in the formation of the "Pink Ladies" Auxiliary at Prince William Hospital, and established the first mental health clinic in Prince William County. She became President of the Virginia Federation of Women's Clubs; during her term over $50,000 was presented to the Medical College of Virginia's Radiation Therapy Unit. She also encouraged the formation of the Woodbridge Woman's Club, which later joined other civic organizations in promoting the building of Potomac Hospital (now Sentara Northern Virginia Medical Center).
Angela was very active in the Republican Party and was always considered for delegate to state and national conventions. She was recognized by the Greater Manassas Christmas Parade, presented by the City of Manassas, as "Woman of the Year" in 2001.
Angela was married to John O. Gregory, a lifetime resident of Manassas, who dedicated the 300-seat Gregory Family Theater at the Hylton Performing Arts Center to his wife Angela and son, J. Scott Gregory. Gregory is chairman of Gregory Construction Inc. and has played an important role in shaping the landscape of Manassas and Prince William County. The venue has already proved to be a flexible performance place for dance, music and spoken word, as well as a gathering place for many festive events.
