Catharpin is a beautiful land characterized by rolling fields, wide meadows, and gravel/dirt roads, and many of the rural folk capitalize on the abundant land and have farms with livestock and guns and such. It is not uncommon to see horses roaming aimlessly on 50 acres of land or for unregulated bonfires to occur due to the lack of anything in or around Catharpin.
Catharpin is an unincorporated community in Prince William County, Virginia latitude 38.854 and longitude -77.572. The elevation is 305 feet. It lies on State Route 234 to the northwest of Manassas National Battlefield Park.
