Michael Nash's Climate Refugees, the film that opened the 2009 International Summit on Climate Change in Copenhagen, will be screened on Tuesday, Oct. 19 at 6:30 p.m. in the Verizon Auditorium (Occoquan Building) on George Mason University’s Prince William Campus, 10900 University Blvd., Manassas.
A panel discussion follows the film with Tom Land, Manager of International Stratospheric Protection Programs, U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and the Rev. Vinnie C. Lainson, a Certified Climate Project Presenter trained in Nashville by Vice President Al Gore.
The film is part of the Immigration & Human Rights Cinema series, a joint project of Unity in the Community and Prince William University Life of George Mason University. The film is free and open to the public.
